Dr Amanda Phillips completed an M.St. at the KRC in 2005, and then progressed on to the D.Phil programme, completing her thesis on 'Weaving as Livelihood, Style as Status: Ottoman Velvets in a Social and Economic Context, 1600-1750' (Supervisors: Dr Rhoads Murphey & Professor Johns) in 2010.
