Amanda Phillips
Assistant Professor, Islamic Art and Material Culture at UVA
Dr Amanda Phillips completed an M.St. at the KRC in 2005, and then progressed on to the D.Phil programme, completing her thesis on 'Weaving as Livelihood, Style as Status: Ottoman Velvets in a Social and Economic Context, 1600-1750' (Supervisors: Dr Rhoads Murphey & Professor Johns) in 2010. Amanda now works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Islamic Art and Material Culture at UVA in the United States.
