Dr Hala Qasqas, who is the current Barakat Postdoctoral Scholar at the KRC, presented a paper titled “The Symbolism of Motifs in Abu Subhi al-Tinawi’s Underglass Paintings: Visual Heritage in Damascene Folk Paintings” at the 2nd Fujairah International Conference on Calligraphy and Ornamentation, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.
