Alain George elected to the British Academy

Alain Fouad George, IM Pei Professor of Islamic Art and Architecture and Director of the Khalili Research Centre, has been made a Fellow of the British Academy on Thursday 18 July. Founded in 1902, the British Academy is the UK's national academy for the Humanities and Social Sciences. Alain George said: “I am absolutely delighted to join the British Academy, which champions excellence in our fields and promotes connections between the types of research that we do and society at large. These missions matter, and I am honoured to start working alongside this inspiring community of scholars.”
