Call for Papers: The Materiality of Pious Texts
Umberto Bongianino (KRC) and Alya Karame (Collège de France) are organising a panel at the 36th CIHA World Congress in Lyon (June 23–27, 2024). The panel is titled "The Materiality of Pious Texts: The Qur’an and Devotional Manuscripts". Umberto and Alya warmly invite colleagues and students working on the materiality of Quranic manuscripts and Islamic devotional books to submit a paper proposal by 15 September 2023.
